What is an example of an inventor who forgot to patent their creations?
Frank Bannigan at Kambrook, reportedly invented the power board allowing multiple electrical devices to be powered where only a single wall socket is available. He thought it best to be first to market rather than taking the time to patent it.
Bannigan said “I’ve probably lost millions of dollars in royalties alone. Whenever I go into a department store and see the wide range of power boards on offer, it always comes back to haunt me.”
